Bromley’s Elite Bassets is a professional breeder of Champion European and Brazilian Bloodline, AKC registered basset hounds in Northwest Tennessee. We began raising bassets in the 70s and 80s. We are a family-operated, home-based kennel, and we are dedicated to lovingly caring for all of our adult dogs and puppies just like family pets. About Basset Hounds
Basset Hounds are a lovable member of the hound group, known for their gentle temperament and easygoing nature. They are friendly, patient dogs that get along well with children and other pets, making them great family companions. Weighing between 45 and 60 pounds, bassets have a life expectancy of 12–13 years. Though they tend to be couch potatoes, they still need regular physical activity, such as a daily walk, to support their overall health and prevent obesity. Their short, smooth coats shed moderately and benefit from weekly brushing and occasional baths to stay clean and reduce shedding. Like all breeds, Bassets require consistent veterinary care to stay healthy, including routine checkups and breed-specific advice tailored to your dog’s individual needs.
